The Crossroads Mercantile is an apparel and gifts shop, specializing in hand crafted gifts and custom sewn clothing. Located in the historical town of Waitsburg, WA, the shop
occupies a building that was originally a millinery shop in the 1800's - the picture doesn't do it justice - and employs talented local seamstresses to sew the garments offered on this site. All
products are produced locally. The owner of the shop, Linda Hermanns' first love is creating Victorian and Old West reproductions. Quality and authenticity is always the focus at
The Crossroads Mercantile. Please visit when you are in the area. Proprietress Linda Hermanns is an experienced seamstress, certified Clothing and Textile
Advisor, certified Quilting Advisor, a regional representative for the World Sidesaddle Federation, and shows extensively in english and western, both astride and sidesaddle. Linda
is also a member of the Old West Shooters Society and the Tea Society which focuses on the Victorian era. She does extensive research for each design she creates. Linda and husband
Dean have six horses, one Paint, one Quarter Horse and 4 Arabians. The horses range from 17 to 26 years old and are still happily employed like Freewater Tommy Leo, the 17 yr old
APHA gelding shown here. Tommy is Linda's side saddle demonstrator and ambassador, a job he excels at with his smooth gaits and kind nature.
